The U.S. economy grew 6.4% in the first quarter of 2021, and economists are pointing toward even more robust growth in the year ahead. It’s clear the runway for a strong rebound from the pandemic-driven recession is in place. And the supply chain is right in the middle of it all. That’s exciting and encouraging. However, people aren’t going back to work at the same speed that the economy is ramping up. New jobs are being filled at about half the rate that experts expected. And that’s challenging.
